As soon as we pull into a parking spot at the OC Mart Mix, Beau (2.5) looks out the window and says,

"Mommy, I pick red flower for you!"

Me: Oh, Beau, that is so nice, but we can't pick those flowers.

Beau: I pick blue flower? Are they baby flowers?

Me: Thanks, Beausie, but we have to leave the flowers there.

Praying with Archer before bed...

Me: " Dear Jesus..."

Archer: "Wait! Mom, will you pray for my wife?"

Me: "Of course, Bud, I will...."

met Lucy at VBS a few days later...

Me: "So did you meet Lucy today?"

Him: "I met her in story time and saw her and started thinking (with a smile)..."

Me: "Thinking what?"

Him: "I have to tell you. It's a secret. (whispered in my ear) About marrying her."

...later that day...

Me: "Arch what are you thinking about?

Him: "Nothing. Just Lucy."

Archer: "Mom, I really liked Snow White being at Avery's birthday."

Me: "Me too."

Archer: "She was really beautiful... really beautiful just like {pointed at me with a big smile}."

... oh, melt my heart.

Instead of saying, "Mommy, I have to go potty." He says...

"Mommy! It's going to work!!!"

So, we are in the middle of our 3-day Potty Training Adventure. Definitely not Mommy's favorite activity. When Beau is sitting on the toilet and he doesn't have to go he says, "It's not working." This is at least something cute in the midst of accidents, cleaning up and being stuck in the house. Let's just hope it keeps "working" at the right times.

"Hey, mom, God didn't give me any dreams except for fun ones. 

The prayers are working!"

Archer has been struggling with bad dreams lately. So, each night we pray that he will have sweet dreams that are only filled with things of Him. To Archer, it's the most important part of our prayer. If we forget to say it, the second we say AMEN, he lets us know.

Great conversations have come out of this struggle. Asking his daddy why God still gives him bad dreams when we ask him not to... {Mommy was thankful he asked Daddy this question...I'm not so good at thinking on my feet.}

We got to spend the last few days with family up in Angels Camp.

Jesus Marcos, the boys' cousin, absolutely fell in love with Cole.

These are some of the things we heard from him...

"Auntie Kelly, why is Cole's face so cute?"

"Mommy, can we keep Cole?"

"I want one just like him."

Sitting at the table eating lunch in silence...

Archer: "Did God make the Easter Bunny or did he come out of a mommy's tummy?"

Me: "Ummmmm. Well..."

Archer: "Like Cole. God didn't make Cole because he came out of your tummy."

Me: "Well... not really. God did make Cole AND he came out of my tummy."

...let's talk to Daddy about this one.

Archer: "Archer."
Little boy: "Hi, I'm Steven. Wanna be best friends?"
Archer: "SURE!"

...and off they went running.

All About My Mommy

My Mommy is 35 years old. {Yep.}

My Mommy weighs 20 lbs. {Thanks, Arch. Mommy actually wouldn't mind losing 20.}

My favorite thing to do with my mom is hug me and kiss me.

My Mommy is as beautiful as a princess. {Melt my heart}

Her favorite things to do is hug and kiss me.

While I'm at school, my Mommy works and feeds Cole. {Atta boy}

My Mommy's favorite drink is milk and water.

My Mommy's favorite food is salad.

If I could give my Mommy anything, it would be pictures. {and I love ALL of them}

One of Archer's new favorite shows is Doc McStuffins. There is an episode where someone gets hit in the face on accident. The show talks about how one character wouldn't hit the other on purpose. So, they do the whole "I'm sorry... I forgive you." thing. 

Archer was telling me about this episode. When he was done, he said, "There is a verse that goes with that. It says, 'Don't forget to not hurt anybody on purpose. Do not hit them in the face. John 3:18'"

I almost died. I love it. I did look up John 3:18... it doesn't say that.

 Here's mine (with a little background)...

Archer just learned how to ride a bike this last week. 

He has been riding his bike IN THE STREET with the neighborhood boys... 

but only when these "guys" are out in the street too!

Mimi came over to watch him ride. 

The second we got outside (we didn't have the "safety guys"), Archer said,

"Mimi, you have to stand right here...just like this...

without saying ANY words."

With Mimi standing there just like the "safety guys," 

it would be safe to ride in the street.

So much for enjoying watching her grandson ride...

she was the new "safety guy."

Me: "Really? Why do you think that?"
Archer: "Because Graham has red hair and HE is 16."

...conversation continued about how not all 16 year olds have red hair.
